Welcome to Ely Greenstone Public Art

Sharon Anderson paintingEly Greenstone Public Art is a non-profit arts organization whose goal is the enhancement of life through art and to encourage artists of all ages. It offers art classes to children and adults, holds juried art exhibits and beautifies Ely's public areas with murals and sculpture.

The mural you see at the top of the page was painted by the late Bob Cary. It can be seen on Sheridan Street in Ely. The painting at right is by a local artist, Sharon Anderson.

Projects include art camps, Fintastic Fish Sculptures, Wildlife Art of the Land and Lakes, sixth grade Art Residency course and yearly events.

Located at the end of the road in Ely, Minnesota, with the beauty of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) as its border, Greenstone Public Art is promoting an arts community with public art to look at and original fine art for sale.
